	ANTIQUE TRANSYLVANIAN CROSS Once in a lifetime relic FAMILY HEIRLOOM TRANSYLVANIAN CROSS ~Artifact History~ This Antique Cross was created in 1890 by Father Vicentiu, of the Monastery Sucevita, near Bucovina Romania, an area of Transylvania. Father Vicentiu was a carver of individual religious icons - He personally performed each step of his icon's creation ~ He would select the ideal tree from the forests adjoining the monastery, Bless the wood and remove the tree from the forest. The Father would then place the selected wood out to dry, and would fast for 40 days, subsisting only on bread with salt, and water.
